Upon arriving at the Nexus he was sold to, Donatello refused to comply with any of the orders he was given. He was fitted with a device that embedded at the base of his skull and allowed taser shocks to be administered directly to his system at varying levels. This got used on him to the point of rendering him unconscious for several days and he suffered the use of it many times before he escaped.
Gladiator Battles/Violence/Injury/Physical Assault/Emotional, Physical and Attempted Sexual Abuse:
Due to what the Battle Nexus is, Othello was forced to engage in spectated pit fights. These were free-for-all style brawls where one opponent was required to disable the other. How they were disabled varied from match to match. Sometimes it was as simple as getting them pinned down, like in a wrestling match, sometimes they were battles to the death. Othello has been forced to engage in all types of them, though when faced with the ones where death was required, he always staunchly refused. He would knock his opponent out, somehow, and then when told to execute them, he would rather take being shocked to unconscious, himself. This happened to him regularly and lead to him being beaten by security guards several times as well.
In his time there he took many smallish injuries such as cuts and scrapes and bruises but also a few larger ones. He bears a few scars on his arms and legs from deeper wounds as well as a bite mark in one shoulder. The triple scars across his shell are from the Shredder and pre-date his time in the Nexus.
Some of the other contestants attempted to bully and intimidate him. He was abused verbally with all manner of insults, pushed around and beaten up in an attempt to goad him into after-hours fights that would have gotten him punished harshly. He also had the few things he was trying to collect to help break himself out, somehow, broken and stolen and, in one case, even held for ransom by another for a while. Donatello was eventually forced to acquiesce to the demand (thankfully it was for something technological, not anything abusive in itself) in order to get his things back.
There was one attempt by an opponent to coerce him into sexual things but, when cornered Donatello not only threatened to bite his attackers genitals off if he so much as saw them, he left them with several bite scars and even a missing eye and several fingers to show how much he meant it. He then promised that anyone trying that with him would be tortured, slowly and painfully. Afterwards, he was left alone. It also helped to stop him from being bullied as his clear insanity in that moment swiftly became known to all the other fighters.
Murder:
Donatello had to watch the death of many people in the Nexus while he was there. He flatly refused to do the same for as long as he possibly could. Eventually, though, it got harder and harder to avoid doing so. One match he could barely avoid the injuries he was taking and he was wearing down. His opponent was determined to not only kill him but EAT him and, finally, Donatello had to be the one to kill in order to save himself.
During his eventual escape, Donatello made sure that every cell door and every exit was unlocked before overloading the power generators to cause a self destruction of the Nexus. He has no idea how many people may have died in the impending explosion and he tries not to think about it. He did his best to give them all the opportunity to escape. If they didn't manage, it isn't on him. (It is, though.)
After he became a bounty hunter, there were several opponents who caught him in ways that he couldn't simply disable them and take them in for the rewards. While he tries his best to capture, not execute, there have been times where he has had to choose between them or himself and he will always choose himself.
Mental Duress/PTSD/Bad Coping Mechanisms/Alcohol and Drug Use:
Due to the events he's been through in the Nexus and the fact that he's been entirely alone, Othello has had no means by which to really deal with the trauma and stress of the entire situation. This leaves him suffering from nightmare induced insomnia on a fairly regular basis and occasionally having flashbacks. In order to cope he will not only work himself to complete exhaustion he also tries to drown the memories in alcohol or chemicals once in a while when it gets too much and even wearing himself out doesn't work.
